Knokke-Heist - Flandre-Occidentale

Iconic Belgian coast spot between Knokke and Heist, with a very wide beach at low tide. Highly rated in kitesurf with north to northeast winds, steady side-shore conditions. Active kite community, kitesurf schools on site, surf possible with a good northwest swell. Intermediate to advanced spot. Also popular for coastal SUP on windless days.

Oostduinkerke - Flandre-Occidentale

Wide open beach on the western Belgian coast, famous for its UNESCO-listed horseback shrimp fishermen. Solid kitesurf wind conditions, especially with southwest to west wind. Wide beach giving plenty of space for rigging. Also popular for surfing with northwest swell and for coastal SUP. Suits advanced beginners thanks to the available room.

De Panne - Flandre-Occidentale

Belgium's widest beach, on the French border. Massive space at low tide, ideal for kitesurf and land yachting, with well-established schools. Solid wind conditions, especially southwest. Also surf possible with good swell. Beach often less crowded than Knokke or Ostend, making it a pleasant spot to progress. Suits beginner to expert.

Ostende - Flandre-Occidentale

Queen of the Belgian beaches, urban and lifestyle vibe. Belgium's most famous surf spot, decent waves with northwest swell, especially at Klein Strand and near the pier. Kitesurf possible but often crowded. Very active surf community, schools, surf shops, regular contests. Suits all surf levels, more technical for kite due to the crowds.
